Green Energy for White Mountains: iDM in the SkiWelt Brixen

Sustainable Energy Supply with iDM Heat Pumps

In the construction of the new, modern administration and operations building for SkiWelt Brixen im Thale, the PLETZER GROUP is relying on a future-proof energy supply – with iDM AL TWIN air source heat pumps.

Three iDM AL TWIN heat pumps with process reversal handle year-round heating and cooling of the building – efficiently, fully automatically, and with exceptional flexibility. Thanks to the integrated process reversal function, the units can actively cool in summer without the need for additional technical systems.

The distribution of heating and cooling within the building is based on a coordinated overall concept consisting of:

  • Underfloor heating with cooling functionality

  • Concrete core activation for thermal storage capacity within the building structure

  • Ventilation system for controlled air exchange and indoor comfort

In addition, a large-scale photovoltaic system on site ensures that a significant portion of the energy is generated locally and sustainably – a further clear commitment to environmental responsibility by SkiWelt.

The AERO AL TWIN air source heat pump systems combine the advantages of air heat pumps with high efficiency, quiet operation, and versatile applicability – even at higher altitudes and under changing weather conditions. This makes them ideal for mountain regions and tourism infrastructure, where sustainability, energy security, and comfort are key priorities.

iDM delivers more than just technology – it provides iNTELLiGENT energy systems for a climate-friendly future in alpine regions.
