iDM Energysystems – the heat pump pioneers
iDM is at home in Matrei in East Tyrol – in the heart of the Hohe Tauern at 1,000 m above sea level. Since we were founded in 1977, we have been pioneers in the use of natural resources and since 1997 we have only focused on the heating technology of the future – the heat pump. We develop, produce and distribute efficient, regenerative thermal energy systems for the use of environmental energy from earth, water, air and sun. Our long-established family business is one of the technology leaders for intelligent energy management in our company, primarily due to its development expertise and numerous technical innovations.
One of the milestones in iDM developments was the introduction of fresh water technology for hygienic water heating in 1987. Since the end of the 1990s, the focus has been on the development and production of economical and environmentally friendly heat pump systems, hot water preparation and also for cooling buildings.
Our heating and energy solutions make you independent and ensure comfortable living. We deliver this in a holistic all-round carefree package for our customers. We integrate and network the entire energy management in the house – in an intelligent, emission-free and resource-saving overall solution, the central element of which is the heat pump. Our innovative, networked energy management system provides efficient and clean heat for generations, making a significant contribution to the energy transition.
From the company’s headquarters in Matrei in East Tyrol, customers all over Europe are supplied with high quality and reliability. Installers receive comprehensive planning support for the realization of new projects, and can also regularly acquire up-to-date know-how at events and seminars of the iDM Academy. The company relies on a close dialogue with partners from the specialist trades in order to take on practical requirements and to incorporate them permanently into product development.

45 years of a company are also 45 years of employee history and a company is only as strong as its employees are. iDM Energiesysteme is proud to have many experienced, long-time and loyal employees. The management level is always keen to secure jobs, since the awareness is very great that many families are dependent on these jobs. The apprenticeship training at iDM is also of great importance in order to train new qualified skilled workers and to make the whole company more attractive to the region. A steady growth indicates that the management of the employees is the right one.
